OUR VISION

is for children and youth from communities across Australia and the South Pacific to come together to be united as friends with each other and friends with God.

As a result of actively listening to God and being totally immersed in worship, prayer, bible reading and fun filled challenging activities they return to their communities empowered to serve, lead and disciple others.

Ezekiel 47 speaks of water coming down towards the east, south of the altar. The man was led through ankle deep water, then knee deep, then waist deep and then the water was deep enough to swim in. Where the river flows everything will live. Fruit trees will grow on its banks. The fruit will serve for food and the leaves for healing.

The river refers to the gospel, the river of life. Sometimes in life we are ankle deep, knee deep and even waist deep as we face the various challenges life brings us in our journey of knowing God. At Friends Camp we will be challenged to ‘get in the river’, actively listen to God and enjoy His presence, read the bible and worship together. Children will return home to share this message with their family, friends and community.

The boomerangs help to create the coastline of Australia, reminding us of our culture and that God has not forgotten his people and will return to take us home to live with him forever.

The three boomerangs to the east of Australia represent our oceanic neighbours who with us form The Great Southland of the Holy Spirit. Together we will go into all the world to preach the gospel and make disciples.
